Art Garfunkel

Art Garfunkel is an American singer whose career spans pop and rock, from the duo Simon & Garfunkel to solo recordings. This concert takes place at Capital One Hall in Tysons.

Art Garfunkel is an American singer born in 1941 in Forest Hills, New York, and active in rock since 1956. Garfunkel's best-known work came with the duo Simon & Garfunkel, alongside Paul Simon, whose recordings include "The Sound of Silence," "Mrs. Robinson" and "Bridge over Troubled Water." Garfunkel's first solo album, Angel Clare, was released on Columbia Records in 1973.

The music sits in pop and rock, with the close vocal harmonies that defined the duo's records and the solo work that followed. The project's catalog connects the folk-tinged songwriting of the 1960s with the later solo releases.

Capital One Hall hosts concerts and shows in Tysons, so the evening suits listeners who want to hear songs from the Simon & Garfunkel catalog and Garfunkel's solo albums in one place.
