Bobbyy and Akai Solo

A rap concert in Philadelphia featuring Bobbyy and Akai Solo, held at Ortlieb's, a venue that hosts concerts and shows across the city.

Bobbyy and Akai Solo share this Philadelphia bill as two rap artists, so the evening is built around two distinct names in the same genre. Rap is a style built on rhythmic, spoken delivery set over beats, and this pairing puts two artists working in that tradition on one night.

Ortlieb's, the venue hosting the show, is a concert and show space in Philadelphia. The evening suits listeners who follow contemporary rap and want to hear two acts in a single outing.

Rap developed within hip-hop culture in New York City in the 1970s. Its live shows usually center on one or more MCs delivering verses over beats, so a concert of this kind keeps the focus on the performers'own voices and their delivery.
