Bontan

Bontan is an electronic music act performing at Halcyon in San Francisco, a venue for concerts and shows. This is a live electronic evening for listeners of the genre.

Bontan is an electronic act. Electronic music is built mainly from synthesizers, drum machines, samplers and computer-based production, so a live electronic performance depends on how the performer shapes sequenced and pre-produced material in real time. The genre grew out of studio experiments with tape and oscillators in the twentieth century before moving onto dance floors and concert stages. Anyone who follows electronic music, from dance and club styles to more experimental forms, will find the genre at the center of this night.

Halcyon is a San Francisco venue that hosts concerts and shows, so this booking places an electronic act within the city's live music calendar. The evening is aimed at people who want to hear electronic music performed live rather than heard only through recordings.
