Overview
An electronic music concert by BoomBox at Chop Shop, a Chicago venue for concerts and shows, aimed at fans of electronic music.
BoomBox is an electronic act, and this concert brings its music to Chicago. Electronic music is built mainly from synthesizers, drum machines and digital production, and it spans styles made for dancing as well as forms meant for close listening. The genre has a specific Chicago link: house music took shape in the city's clubs at the end of the 1970s and during the early 1980s, which gives a local booking a direct connection to that history.
Chop Shop hosts concerts and shows in Chicago, and the night is aimed at listeners who follow electronic music and want to hear an electronic act live in the city.
