Brody Price

Brody Price headlines this evening at Judson & Moore Distillery in Chicago, with Orillia and Sarah Weddle on the bill. The music draws on blues, country and folk, and the project's roots lie in alt-country and Americana.

Brody Price's music sits in alt-country at its core, weaving Americana into slow, heavy grooves, overdriven guitars and acoustic dissonance. Price has been part of the DIY touring circuit since 2017, building a following across the United States largely through word of mouth. The 2017 song "What's The Point In Trying" drew attention from troubadours and indie rock listeners alike, and Price has shared stages with Hayes Carll, Penny and Sparrow, Greg Freeman and Brennan Wedl.

The newest album, Leaf Miner's Daughter, was written during a difficult year and moves through shame, denial, loss and hope. Centro-matic, Robert Ellis and Drive-By Truckers are among the artists cited as influences on Price's writing.

Orillia and Sarah Weddle complete the lineup for this date. Judson & Moore Distillery hosts concerts and shows in Chicago, and the evening will appeal to listeners who follow country, folk and blues songwriting.
