Cash Money & No Limit Tour

A rap bill uniting artists from the Cash Money and No Limit labels, both founded in New Orleans, on a tour stop at Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

Cash Money Records and No Limit Records were both founded in New Orleans in 1990, and this tour brings together artists tied to the two labels. Birdman, a co-founder of Cash Money Records, and Master P, who founded No Limit Records, are on the bill alongside Juvenile, whose album 400 Degreez came out on Cash Money in 1998. Mannie Fresh, the producer who worked on much of the Cash Money catalog, is also part of the lineup.

Boosie BadAzz, from Baton Rouge, and Silkk the Shocker, a No Limit artist whose debut album Charge It 2 Da Game appeared in 1998, complete the six-artist roster. Master P's Ghetto D (1997) is one of the key releases in the No Limit catalog, and the show offers a chance to hear work from both labels'most active years in one evening.

Wintrust Arena is a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. The bill suits listeners who follow Southern rap from the late 1990s and early 2000s, with each artist representing a different part of the two labels'output.
