Cheap Heat Fest

A rap evening at Elastic Arts in Chicago, bringing together Hameedullah, Material and Thomas Xu on one bill. The night is a single program of live rap performances.

This rap evening at Elastic Arts in Chicago brings together three acts: Hameedullah, Material and Thomas Xu. The bill is organized around one genre, so the performances follow a shared musical thread from start to finish rather than mixing styles.

Elastic Arts is a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows, so the program takes place in a space dedicated to live performance. The evening suits listeners who want to hear several rap acts in one outing, and anyone curious about artists new to them will find three distinct names on the lineup.

Rap is a genre built on rhymed, rhythmic delivery over beats, and each act on this bill works within that form. Attending means seeing the artists perform live in Chicago, with the three names sharing the stage across the evening.
