Cornelius is a Japanese musician born in 1969 in Setagaya and active since 1987, signed to Warner Music Group. The music draws on alternative rock, world music and indietronica, pairing guitar-based songwriting with electronic production. Among the best-known records is Fantasma, released in 1997.

This concert brings that catalog to Thalia Hall, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who follow indie rock and electronic pop, and those drawn to the blend of world music and indietronica that shapes the artist's sound.

Pop, rock and indie frame the evening, which spans guitar-led songs and electronic textures within one body of work.
