Cumbia Catedral — Holiday Edition

A holiday-themed concert by Cumbia Catedral, the Argentine band that blends cumbia with psychedelic and rock textures, at Epiphany Center for the Arts in Chicago.

Cumbia Catedral is an Argentine band that combines cumbia with psychedelic and rock textures. Its name appears on this program in its standard form and in a Holiday Edition, a seasonal presentation of the project's music. The evening is built around the band itself, so the Holiday Edition is best understood as a winter-themed version of its live sound rather than a separate act. Listeners who already follow cumbia-based rock will find the same core identity, shaped for the season.

Epiphany Center for the Arts hosts concerts and shows in Chicago, and this performance takes place in Epiphany Hall. The venue's programming covers music and performing arts, so the evening suits anyone looking for a live concert during the holiday period, whether or not they know the band's catalog. Those new to Cumbia Catedral can approach the show as an introduction to a project that draws on Latin American dance rhythms and guitar-driven psychedelia.
