Donna the Buffalo is an American band formed in 1989, playing music in the zarico genre. Its recorded catalogue starts with the album The Red Tape, released in 1991, the first step in a body of recordings that the band has continued since. The music is part of the pop, rock and indie field, which makes the concert a fit for listeners who follow those styles.

Listeners who know the early album can hear where the band's recorded work began, while newcomers can use the evening to hear the band's sound directly on stage.

The venue, Garcia's Chicago, hosts concerts and shows in Chicago, so the evening suits anyone interested in live performances by a band with a long recorded history.
