Expansions NYC feat. Louie Vega (All Night)

Expansions NYC featuring Louie Vega, an all-night electronic music event at smartbar in Chicago. Vega is a New York DJ and producer working in house music.

Louie Vega is a New York DJ and producer on the electronic music scene. Vega is best documented for the production partnership Masters at Work, formed with Kenny Dope, whose remixes and productions were central to the New York house music of the 1990s. That club-oriented house tradition, with its roots in the city's dance floors, shapes the sound this act brings to the decks.

This event is billed as Expansions NYC featuring Louie Vega, and the title specifies an all-night format. It is an electronic music night at smartbar, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows, and the program is built around the dance-floor material that Vega has worked with for decades.

The night suits listeners who follow house and club music and want a long, continuous set from a producer with deep roots in the New York scene. It also fits those who prefer electronic programming in a dedicated club room rather than a concert hall.
