Gregory Porter & Jarrod Lawson

Vocalist Gregory Porter and singer-songwriter Jarrod Lawson bring their distinct soulful jazz to the Chevalier Theatre in Medford.

Gregory Porter is an American singer, songwriter and actor born in Sacramento in 1971. Performing vocal jazz that blends blues and soul, the artist has recorded for the Blue Note label since the release of the debut album Water in 2010. Over the years, the catalog has expanded with widely recognized studio records that showcase a deep, resonant baritone voice and thoughtful songwriting.

Jarrod Lawson joins the bill, bringing a distinct vocal and keyboard-driven R and B and soul sensibility to the evening. Lawson emerged as an independent artist with a self-titled release that drew attention from soul and jazz audiences internationally.
