Hollywood Roses

A hard rock and metal night at Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, featuring Hollywood Roses, a tribute to Guns N' Roses. The show is a tribute, not a performance by the original band.

Guns N'Roses formed in Los Angeles in 1985 and became one of the best-selling hard rock bands of the late 1980s, with the album Appetite for Destruction (1987) and songs such as "Welcome to the Jungle" and "Sweet Child o'Mine." The original lineup includes Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan, none of whom appear in Hollywood Roses, which presents the band's catalog as a tribute.

Hollywood Roses takes its name from the city where Guns N'Roses started, and its music draws on the same hard rock and heavy metal roots: loud guitar riffs, high-register vocals and the blues-based drive that shaped the band's early records. The show is built around that catalog rather than new material.

Whisky A Go Go is a club on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, open since 1964, and it hosts concerts and shows across several genres. The night suits listeners who know the 1980s Los Angeles rock scene and want to hear its best-known songs played live, as well as fans of hard rock and metal in general.
