HUG feat. Gyan Riley, Devendra Banhart, Noah Georgeson

A San Francisco concert at Bimbo's 365 Club featuring Hug, guitarist Gyan Riley and singer-songwriter Devendra Banhart, with Noah Georgeson also named on the bill.

Devendra Banhart is an American singer-songwriter who emerged in the mid-2000s anti-folk and freak-folk scene. Albums such as Rejoicing in the Hands (2004) and Cripple Crow (2005) are central to that early body of work, which moves between folk, psychedelic and Latin-influenced pop. Noah Georgeson has worked closely with Banhart as a producer and multi-instrumentalist, and Gyan Riley is a guitarist whose playing draws on fingerstyle and classical technique.

Hug is the act that joins these names on the bill. The evening links guitar-based songwriting with fingerstyle and classical approaches, so it will appeal most to listeners who follow acoustic, folk-rooted and experimental guitar music.

Bimbo's 365 Club is a venue in San Francisco that hosts concerts and shows. It is a fitting setting for a bill that brings together three distinct voices from the Bay Area's broader folk and indie circles.
