Icona Pop

Icona Pop is an electronic pop duo appearing in concert at The Independent in San Francisco. The evening brings the Swedish project's dance-driven songs to a city venue that hosts concerts and shows.

Icona Pop is a Swedish electronic pop duo formed in Los Angeles in 2009 by Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo. Its best-known record is the single "I Love It," released in 2012, which brought the duo wide international attention and remains the song most associated with the project.

The music combines synthesizer-driven dance production with pop songwriting, placing the act within the electronic pop tradition. Songs are built around bright hooks and club-oriented rhythms, which gives the catalog a direct, danceable character that carries from record to stage.

The Independent is a San Francisco venue for concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who follow electronic pop and want to hear the duo's songs performed in person in the city.
