Jess Williamson

An American singer-songwriter working in blues, country and folk, Jess Williamson brings original songs to Thalia Hall in Chicago. The project has been active since 2011.

Jess Williamson is an American singer-songwriter active since 2011, working in blues, country and folk. The music rests on original songs: Jess Williamson writes and performs the material, and the first album, Native State, came out in 2014.

Those new to the project can start with Native State and trace the songwriting from the debut onward. The catalog is built around the songs themselves, so the body of work is the clearest guide to what the project sounds like.

Thalia Hall hosts concerts and shows in Chicago, so this performance brings the songwriter's blues, country and folk to a Chicago stage. The evening suits listeners who follow singer-songwriter folk and roots music and want to hear original songs performed by the person who wrote them.
