Journey

Journey is an American hard rock, arena rock and progressive rock band, performing at TD Garden in Boston. The band formed in San Francisco in 1973 and signed to Columbia Records.

Journey was formed in San Francisco in 1973 by guitarist Neal Schon and keyboardist Gregg Rolie, both former members of Santana. The band signed to Columbia Records and built its sound on melodic hard rock, with layered guitar, keyboards and strong vocal harmonies.

Its best-known records are Escape (1981), which includes "Don't Stop Believin'" and "Open Arms," and Frontiers (1983), which includes "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)." Steve Perry, who sang lead with the band through the 1980s, is the voice most associated with those hits.

TD Garden is the Boston arena that hosts concerts and shows throughout the year. The evening suits listeners who follow the band's arena rock catalog and want to hear its best-known songs performed in a large venue.
