Life Fest 2027

Life Fest is a concert in Washington, D.C., bringing together R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae on one bill at DAR Constitution Hall.

Life Fest brings together R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae in one program, linking several Black American musical traditions with Jamaican reggae. Soul and gospel share roots in Black church singing, while funk grew out of soul's rhythmic drive in the 1960s and 1970s. Reggae, which developed in Jamaica, adds a different pulse to the same family of sounds.

DAR Constitution Hall, in Washington, D.C., is the auditorium of the Daughters of the American Revolution and hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who follow more than one of these styles and want to hear them together in a single concert.
