Lotus

Lotus is an American jam band playing a live show at The Independent in San Francisco. The evening offers a chance to hear the band's extended, improvisation-driven music in a city venue.

Lotus is an American jam band whose music blends psychedelic rock, funk and electronic textures. Its songs often stretch into long improvised passages, and the sound sits within the jam tradition, where extended grooves that build over the course of a set are central to the music. The act's recorded work and its live performances both follow that improvisational approach.

The Independent, a San Francisco venue, hosts concerts and shows across a range of genres, so this date suits listeners who follow jam and electronic-leaning bands on tour. The night is aimed at anyone interested in psychedelic, funk-inflected music who wants to hear extended improvisation performed live, whether they know the band's albums or are discovering the project for the first time.
