Maeta is an act working across R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae. These styles share roots in Black American and Jamaican popular music, and the act's music moves between them, giving listeners of any one of these genres a point of entry.

The Peppermint Club is a Los Angeles venue that hosts concerts and shows. The night suits anyone who follows soul, funk or reggae and wants to hear the act's music in a live setting.

Gospel and reggae sit beside soul and funk in the act's genre mix, two traditions that have long run in parallel with American R&B. The evening suits listeners drawn to vocal-led music rooted in those lineages.
