Matisyahu

Matisyahu is an American musician whose work blends alternative rock and reggae. This concert brings the project to the North Theatre in Skokie.

Matisyahu is an American musician from West Chester, and the project's music blends alternative rock with reggae. The work is released on Epic Records. The act emerged in the early 2000s, and its best-known song, "King Without a Crown," comes from the 2006 album Youth. Across the catalog, reggae rhythms sit alongside rock guitar and song structures, which places the music within the pop, rock and indie territory in which this act is listed.

The North Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts is a venue in Skokie that hosts concerts and shows. Its programming covers a range of live performance, so the evening suits listeners who follow the reggae and rock crossover that defines Matisyahu's recordings.

Those planning to attend can expect a concert built around the band's songs in their original styles, with reggae-influenced grooves and rock-driven arrangements at the center of the program.
