Music at the Autry Museum

An evening program at the Autry Museum of the American West in Los Angeles, combining after-hours access to the galleries with live music, dancing and food and drink for purchase.

This series of evening visits at the Autry Museum of the American West opens the museum's galleries after regular hours and pairs them with live performance. The program features artists, musicians, poets and writers connected to Los Angeles and the communities around it. Performers named include Matt Axton, Carmine Sardo and His Wild Country Band, and the Jazz Salon All-Stars, with programming that moves between country, jazz and Western art.

Visitors can move through the galleries, buy food and drinks on site, and take part in dancing and pub games. The museum's Western art displays are part of the visit, so guests can spend time with the exhibits as well as the performances. The evening is open to all ages.

The format brings music and visual art into the same evening, which suits people who want to combine a concert-style program with a walk through the museum's rooms. Each visit is an evening at the museum rather than a guided tour.
