Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas

Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas is a zydeco band led by Nathan Williams. Frank Malfitano, founder of the Syracuse Jazz Festival, described the group as representatives of Louisiana and zydeco heritage and called the band a national treasure.

In his account of a festival main-stage performance, Malfitano wrote that the band's energy stayed high throughout, that the audience was dancing and smiling, and that the set ran about 75 minutes. He singled out the group's stage presence and musicianship as the reasons the crowd responded so strongly.

Zebulon hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles. This evening brings the band's zydeco repertoire to its stage, a fit for listeners interested in Louisiana roots music and the accordion-driven sound associated with the style.
