Parlor Greens

Parlor Greens, an act whose music draws on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, performs in Chicago at Garcia's Chicago, a venue that hosts concerts and shows.

Parlor Greens works across R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, genres that share roots in Black American popular music and in the rhythms of Jamaica. Reggae developed in Jamaica in the late 1960s, while gospel grew out of Black church traditions in the United States, so the project's range connects music from both sides of the Atlantic. Its sound brings these styles together in one project, so listeners who follow any one of them will find common ground.

The concert takes place at Garcia's Chicago, a venue in the city that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who follow soul, funk or reggae, and anyone interested in a bill that blends genres rather than sticking to a single style.
