Paul Cauthen

Paul Cauthen performs at The Castro Theatre in San Francisco. The concert brings a pop, rock and indie act to the historic movie palace in the Castro district.

Paul Cauthen is a pop, rock and indie act whose music is built around songs and a distinctive voice, with the project's solo work under the Paul Cauthen name at the center of its catalogue. The genre places the music in the crossover space between guitar-driven rock, melodic pop and the songwriting-focused side of indie, which suits listeners who follow singer-songwriters rather than a single scene.

The Castro Theatre opened in 1922 on Castro Street in San Francisco's Castro district. It was designed as a movie palace for film screenings, and it now also hosts concerts and shows, so the room's history is tied to film as much as to live music.

The evening suits listeners who want to hear songwriter-led music in a venue with a long history, and those who already follow the project's recorded work. Anyone new to the act can use the concert to hear the songs performed in a theater setting.
