Ray Wylie Hubbard

Ray Wylie Hubbard, a Texas singer-songwriter working in blues, country and folk, performs in Las Vegas at The Showroom at the Golden Nugget.

Ray Wylie Hubbard is a singer-songwriter from Texas whose music draws on blues, country and folk, and is tied to the Texas songwriting tradition associated with the outlaw country movement. Hubbard wrote "Redneck Mother," a song made widely known through Jerry Jeff Walker's recording, and has recorded as a solo artist over several decades, building a catalog of original songs that other performers have also taken up.

On this Las Vegas date, Hubbard performs under his own name, so the evening centers on the songs and the storytelling that have defined the project's work. It suits listeners who follow roots music, where the guitar, lyrics and blues phrasing carry the material.

The Showroom at the Golden Nugget hosts concerts and shows in Las Vegas, and this booking places the performance in that room within the downtown resort.
