Roll Machine Reloaded Tour

A rock bill pairing Triumph and April Wine, two Canadian bands with long careers in hard and classic rock, presented as the Roll Machine Reloaded Tour at Oakland Arena in Oakland.

Triumph is a rock band formed in Toronto in 1975, built around guitarist and vocalist Rik Emmett and drummer Gil Moore. Its albums from the late 1970s and early 1980s, including Allied Forces (1981), combine hard rock guitar with a polished studio sound. April Wine, formed in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1969, has been led by vocalist and songwriter Myles Goodwyn, whose songs such as "Just Between You and Me" and "Roller" became staples of Canadian album rock.

Both acts belong to the lineage of 1970s North American hard rock, with riff-based guitar songs, strong choruses and a shared Canadian scene. The tour title, Roll Machine Reloaded, places the two bands together on one bill.

Oakland Arena hosts concerts and shows in Oakland, and this evening is aimed at listeners who follow classic rock and hard rock from these two bands.
