Sicard Hollow & Chicken Wire Empire

An evening at Garcia's Chicago with Sicard Hollow and Chicken Wire Empire, two acts working in blues, country and folk.

Sicard Hollow and Chicken Wire Empire share a bill built on blues, country and folk, three genres that come from the same American roots tradition. Blues grew out of African American communities in the rural South, country developed from Southern and Appalachian string traditions, and folk draws on songs passed down orally and reworked over generations. Both acts appear together on this evening, placing them side by side for listeners who follow that repertoire.

Garcia's Chicago is the venue hosting the night. It hosts concerts and shows in Chicago, so the evening suits anyone looking for live roots music in the city, whether they already follow these genres or are discovering them through a pairing of two acts.
