Sneezy

Sneezy and Zuffalo share this bill at Garcia's Chicago, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. The evening centers on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae.

Sneezy's music blends R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, styles that share roots in Black American and Jamaican popular music. Zuffalo appears alongside Sneezy on this bill.

Garcia's Chicago hosts concerts and shows in Chicago, and this bill suits listeners who follow contemporary R&B, soul and funk and want to hear how those sounds connect with gospel and reggae.

The genres themselves have clear lineages: soul grew out of gospel and rhythm and blues in the 1950s and 1960s, funk developed from soul's rhythmic emphasis in the late 1960s, and reggae took shape in Jamaica from ska and rocksteady at the end of the 1960s.
