Squirrel Nut Zippers Christmas Caravan Tour

A holiday tour by Squirrel Nut Zippers, the band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, whose retro swing and jazz-inflected sound sits between pop and rock. The stop is at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C.

Squirrel Nut Zippers formed in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in 1993 and built its sound on the jazz, swing and popular song of the early twentieth century, with rock and pop arrangements layered on top. The band reached a wide audience with the 1996 album Hot, which included the single Hell, and its vintage-inspired style has defined its catalog since.

The Christmas Caravan Tour brings the group's holiday-season show to Washington, with the 9:30 Club as the venue. The club is a concert venue in Washington, D.C., hosting concerts and shows. This evening suits listeners who follow the band's swing-based music and those looking for a seasonal concert with a retro character.
