State Radio Performing Us Against The Crown

A Chicago concert by State Radio, the American alternative rock band, built around Us Against the Crown, the group's first album. The show takes place at Thalia Hall.

State Radio is an American alternative rock band formed in 2002. The group is signed to Fenway Recordings, and its debut album, Us Against the Crown, was released in 2005. That record is the focus of this concert, which is titled as a performance of the album, so the program follows its songs rather than a general catalog.

The band's sound falls within the pop, rock and indie range, with the alternative rock roots that shaped its early releases. Fans of the album and listeners who follow the band's earlier work are the natural audience for a show built around a single record from the start of the band's recorded output.

Thalia Hall is a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows, and this performance takes place there. Visitors interested in the band's first album can use this evening to hear its material played live in the city.
