Swervedriver raise at 35

Swervedriver, the British alternative rock group, plays The Independent in San Francisco in a show titled Raise at 35, linked to the 35th anniversary of its 1991 debut album.

Swervedriver formed in Oxford in 1989 and released its music on Creation Records. Its debut studio album, Raise, came out in 1991. The band's guitar-driven alternative rock places it among the British groups of the early nineties, and Adam Franklin is one of the group's key members.

The title Raise at 35 ties this night to the album's 35th anniversary, so the event centers on the record that launched the band's studio work. For listeners who know Raise from its original release, the show offers a direct link to that material. Newer listeners can use the event to start with the band's first album.

The Independent is a San Francisco venue that hosts concerts and shows, and this booking is a rock concert in the band's home genre of alternative guitar music.
