A concert of blues, country and folk music at Kingston Mines - Chicago Blues Center, a Chicago venue that hosts live music and shows.

This concert brings together blues, country and folk, three styles with close roots in Southern American music. Blues took shape in the Mississippi Delta, and after the Great Migration it flourished in Chicago, where electric bands in the 1950s defined the city's sound. Country and folk draw on Appalachian and Southern ballad and string-band traditions.

The venue, Kingston Mines - Chicago Blues Center, takes its name from the blues and is part of the city's live music scene. The program suits listeners who follow Chicago blues and roots music and want to hear these styles performed in the city where much of the blues tradition developed.
