The Babys

A concert by The Babys, the pop and rock band from Britain, at The Showroom at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. The group's songs date back to the late 1970s.

The Babys are a pop and rock band formed in London in 1975. John Waite sang and played bass in the group's most recognized lineup, and Jonathan Cain played keyboards before he joined Journey. The band's singles "Isn't It Time" (1976) and "Every Time I Think of You" (1979) are among its best-known songs.

Waite went on to a solo career, and his 1984 single "Missing You" became one of his best-selling recordings. The Babys'catalog ties the band to the late-1970s British rock scene and to the pop-oriented sound of American radio at the start of the following decade, which makes it a good fit for listeners who follow the careers of its former members.

The Showroom at the Golden Nugget hosts concerts and shows in Las Vegas. This date brings The Babys to that stage on their visit to the city, and the evening suits fans of the group's records and of the musicians who passed through its ranks.
