Overview
The MF Function is a stand-up comedy show with George Brett Olson, presented under the title The MF Function. Stand-up is a live form in which a performer speaks directly to the audience, building the evening through jokes, timing and delivery rather than through a scripted play with characters. The format relies on the performer's own voice and on the rhythm of each routine.
The show is staged at Cobb's Comedy Club in San Francisco, a venue that also hosts live music and other shows. For someone deciding on a comedy night out, the format is straightforward: a single evening of live stand-up in a San Francisco club, aimed at audiences who enjoy the genre and want to see it performed in person.
