The Wood Brothers

The Wood Brothers are an American blues, country and folk act led by brothers Oliver and Chris Wood. This concert takes place at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston.

The Wood Brothers are a blues, country and folk band from the United States, built around the brothers Oliver Wood and Chris Wood. The project was formed in the late 1990s. Oliver Wood sings and plays guitar, and Chris Wood plays bass, a role he also held in the jazz-rooted trio Medeski, Martin & Wood. Their music draws on roots traditions, moving between acoustic folk, country-tinged songs and blues.

Cahn Auditorium, in Evanston, hosts concerts and shows, and this evening places The Wood Brothers on its stage. The night suits listeners who follow American roots music and singer-songwriter folk, with the band's blues and country influences at its center.
