United Groove

United Groove is an act playing R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, presented as a concert in Orlando at Lil' Indies, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in the city.

United Groove is an act whose music draws on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, bringing together several related Black American and Caribbean traditions in one repertoire. Each of these styles has its own lineage: soul and gospel share roots in church singing, while funk and reggae are built on rhythmic, groove-centered patterns.

The concert suits listeners who enjoy several of Black music's connected styles, from R&B and soul to funk, gospel and reggae. Lil'Indies is a venue in Orlando that hosts concerts and shows, making it a setting for live music across these genres. Across these genres, rhythm and vocals carry most of the music, so the sound centers on groove as much as on singing.
