Unofficial Dia De Los Deftones Pre-Show

A hard rock and metal night at Tender Hooligan in San Diego, built around the music of Deftones as an unofficial pre-show, not a performance by the band itself.

Deftones formed in Sacramento, California, in 1988, and their core members are vocalist Chino Moreno, guitarist Stephen Carpenter and drummer Abe Cunningham. Their albums Adrenaline (1995), Around the Fur (1997) and White Pony (2000) combine heavy riffs with atmospheric textures, a sound usually filed under alternative metal.

This Dia de los Deftones pre-show is an unofficial event, so it is not a performance by Deftones. The genre is hard rock and metal, and the evening centers on heavy guitars and driven, loud arrangements. It suits fans of that style who want a night focused on the group's catalog.

Tender Hooligan hosts concerts and shows in San Diego. The venue's role here is as the host of a single, genre-focused night rather than a tribute to any particular lineup.
