Will Donato

A jazz performance by Will Donato at Humphreys Backstage Live in San Diego, part of the venue's concert and show calendar.

Will Donato is a jazz act performing at Humphreys Backstage Live, a San Diego venue that hosts concerts and shows. Jazz grew out of African American musical traditions in New Orleans around the turn of the twentieth century, and it is built on improvisation, swing rhythms, and blues-based harmony.

In a live setting, the style is defined by soloists who reshape a melody in real time while a rhythm section keeps the groove steady. Listeners new to jazz can follow this by watching how the band moves between a theme and its improvised variations.

This concert suits anyone who wants a jazz performance in San Diego with a clear focus on live improvisation. Humphreys Backstage Live is the venue for the evening.
