Year of the Knife

A heavy music bill in Washington, D.C., led by the brutal hardcore band Year of the Knife, with Execute and other metalcore and hardcore groups. The show is presented by Goomba Productions.

Year of the Knife is a brutal hardcore band from the Delaware scene, and it is the act the bill is built around. Execute, a Delaware metalcore band, shares the lineup, along with Gun to God's Head, which plays metalcore. Fade to Nothing and Faith in Destruction, both rooted in DC metallic hardcore, complete the evening.

The bill moves between brutal hardcore, metalcore and metallic hardcore, so it suits listeners who follow heavy music in both Delaware and the Washington area. Each group is a separate band with its own style, and the mix of regional scenes is the common thread of the night.

The concert takes place at Songbyrd, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in Washington, D.C. Anyone interested in hardcore and metalcore can see several local and regional acts in one evening.
