58th Street

An immersive dining show set in a recreated 1930s New York speakeasy, staged at Belle Livingstone's 58th Street Country Club in Rye Lane, south London. The evening combines a six-course menu with a cast and band performing in character.

58th Street presents itself as a Jazz Age supper club, with the audience cast as guests in a Manhattan speakeasy of the 1920s and 1930s. The production blends Harlem jazz, Park Avenue-style dining and the excess of the period, with the performers playing named characters throughout the evening. The cast listed for this production includes Yvette Robinson in the role of Ms. Belle Livingstone, with Katy Baker named as the alternative in that role, alongside Eoin Mullan as Johnny Quinn, Lizzie Coles as Grace Cassidy, Luke Millard as Eddie Callaghan, Molly Keogh as Talulah Bloom, Jake Douglas as Jakey Aha, Rachel Hosker as River Larousseau and Eliza Daniels as Delores Madison. Three showgirls, Betsy Rose, Coco Belle and Felicity Furore, are also credited.

The musical accompaniment is provided by a band of eight musicians, with Ayesha Pike as vocalist and Rikette Genesis as alternative vocalist. The instrumentation is trumpet, clarinet and reeds, piano, trombone, bass and drums.

The menu is served in six courses and includes vegetarian alternatives at each stage, which the organisers state can be arranged for guests with dietary requirements. The venue is a country club at 133 Rye Lane in south London.
