Cirque du Soleil: Kurios

Kurios: Cabinet of Curiosities is a Cirque du Soleil production presented at the Royal Albert Hall in London, staged as a theatrical show with a story about curiosity and imagination.

The production draws its setting from the Victorian era and the nineteenth-century industrial revolution. Its central figure, the Seeker, is convinced that a hidden, invisible world exists beyond everyday perception, a place where unusual ideas and ambitious dreams are kept. Within his oversized curio cabinet, a group of otherworldly characters emerges and comes to life one after another, turning his mechanical surroundings into a stage for the story.

The show is described by its producers as a poetic and humorous tale about opening the mind to curiosity and about what can follow when imagination is trusted. Its motto, that seeing is disbelieving, sums up the premise of the evening, which is presented as suitable for audiences of all ages.

The performance takes place at the Royal Albert Hall, a venue in London that hosts concerts and shows. Cirque du Soleil is the company behind the production, and the staging relies on the characters and the mechanical world of the cabinet rather than on a conventional narrative cast.
