in the dark - PULSE

A live, unamplified performance in which thirty musicians and vocalists move among seated audience members wearing eye masks. The PULSE edition of in the dark takes place at St Andrew, Holborn.

in the dark is a live project of thirty performers, musicians and vocalists, presented without a stage and without amplification. Once audience members put on eye masks, the performers move through and among them, so no two seats hear the music in quite the same way. The approach is named DarkSpatial, a form of choreographed, unamplified sound. PULSE is the version built around energy, movement and momentum.

The music is pop, rock and indie, and the audience sits at the centre of the performance rather than facing a stage. St Andrew, Holborn, the church where the show is staged, also hosts concerts and shows across London. The evening suits listeners who want to hear live music from inside the action rather than from a fixed stage.
