Overview
A stand-up night of new material, in which professional comedians try out jokes for the first time in front of an audience. This edition, titled November, is hosted by Caroline Mabey.
The evening is a comedy night built around work in progress. Five comedians, Erika Ehler, Mustafa Yasin, Caz Thorne, Beattie Edmonson and Shannon Ong, each take the stage with fresh material, so the audience hears routines that have not yet been polished for a regular set. The host, Caroline Mabey, introduces the performers and guides the running order.
Because each performer brings different material, the programme moves between several voices and styles of stand-up rather than following a single storyline. It is a format for listeners who enjoy seeing comedians develop their writing live, with the unpredictability that comes from new jokes.
The show takes place at Camden Comedy Club, a theatre in Camden, London. It is aimed at adult audiences who follow stand-up and are interested in how comedy takes shape before it reaches a full tour.
