Camden Songwriting Circle

An acoustic evening in London in which independent artists Liv Bloore, Tagore Chayne and Beau Bennett take turns to play their own songs and discuss how they wrote them. It is held at The Colonel Fawcett.

The Camden Songwriting Circle is an acoustic night built around the writing process of its performers, who are Liv Bloore, Tagore Chayne and Beau Bennett. The songwriting circle format was created in Nashville, and here every artist stays on stage together for the full length of the evening, rather than appearing one after another.

The evening runs in rounds, with each artist in turn performing one of their original songs. After every round, the host or the audience can put questions about songwriting to the performers. Melanie Percy co-founded the circle, which received support from an early-career promoter fund managed by PRS Foundation and financed by Arts Council England.

The Colonel Fawcett, the venue, hosts concerts and shows in London. The evening suits listeners who want to hear how independent acts shape their songs, since its structure centres on conversation about craft as much as on the performances themselves.
