Faulty Towers The Dining Experience

Faulty Towers The Dining Experience is an interactive comedy production, staged at the President Hotel in London, that places the audience in the dining room of a fictional hotel. It is based on the British sitcom Fawlty Towers.

The production takes its inspiration from the Fawlty Towers television series and is set in a restaurant where the audience are the diners. Rather than reproducing the television scripts, it builds its own comic situations around the spirit of the hotel's inept owners, Basil, Sybil and Manuel, who are played by three performers. The hour-and-a-half-plus format of the evening is organised around a meal, so the comedy unfolds while guests eat a three-course lunch or dinner at their tables.

The performers are impersonators, not the original cast, and the show has no connection to the series'writers or to the BBC. It has been presented in a number of countries since its Australian debut in 1997, and the material describes it as critically acclaimed. The menu is served as part of the evening and includes vegetarian options, with allergen information published on the page.

The show suits audiences who already know the original series and want to see its characters brought into a dining setting. It is staged at the President Hotel, which hosts concerts and shows in London.
