Friday Jazz Club

A jazz concert by Friday Jazz Club at Imperial College Union, a London venue that hosts concerts and shows, for listeners interested in live jazz in the capital.

Friday Jazz Club is a jazz act, and jazz is the musical identity of this concert. The style grew out of African American communities in New Orleans at the start of the twentieth century and has since branched into swing, bebop, fusion and many other forms.

The concert takes place at Imperial College Union, the students'union of Imperial College London, which hosts concerts and shows in London. It suits anyone wanting to hear a jazz group live in the capital, whether they follow the style closely or are new to it. Hearing a jazz group perform live means the music is played in the room as it is heard, rather than reproduced from recordings.
