Overview
A London bill from the SCREAM/SHOUT series, headed by the shoegaze and post-rock band goo, with Manchester's Sweet Gene and the alt-rock and emo-gaze project Downboy Downboy also on the bill.
goo are one of London's newest shoegaze and post-rock bands, and they head this bill at the Sebright Arms, a London venue that hosts concerts and shows. Shoegaze is built on layered, washed-out guitar textures, while post-rock leans on long instrumental structures, so the headliners draw on both traditions.
Sweet Gene, an up-and-coming band from Manchester, and Downboy Downboy, a new alt-rock and emo-gaze act, complete the line of acts on the evening. Emo-gaze combines emotive songwriting with the textures of shoegaze, which links that project to the headliner's sound.
The night forms part of the SCREAM/SHOUT series and brings three bands together on one bill.
