Overview
A world music night at Fox & Firkin in Lewisham, south-east London, built around a live set by Orquesta Mambarito, a thirteen-piece salsa big band, with resident DJs.
Our Latin Thing with Orquesta Mambarito is built around a live performance by Orquesta Mambarito, a salsa big band of thirteen players. Its repertoire draws on classic tunes from 1970s New York, Colombia and Puerto Rico, with salsa and cumbia at the heart of the programme.
Resident DJs follow the band with bold, boundary-pushing Latin selections, so the evening keeps going well beyond the live performance. The night suits anyone who wants to dance to salsa and cumbia with a live band.
Fox & Firkin is a concert and performance venue on Lewisham High Street in south-east London, and it hosts this Latin night.
