Shen Yun

Shen Yun is a dance and music show presented at Eventim Apollo in London, drawing on China's long history through classical Chinese dance and live orchestral music.

The show presents China's history, which its material describes as spanning around 5,000 years, through classical Chinese dance and live orchestral music. Its material also mentions costumes, interactive backdrops and stories drawn from ancient dynasties, legends and ethnic traditions, with scholars and artists seeking harmony with the Tao.

The production is described as a combination of choreography and storytelling, covering ancient legends alongside more recent tales. The material compares its dance style to ballet in terms of grace, though it does not specify the company's line-up, the number of performers or the precise repertoire presented on a given night.

The event is staged at Eventim Apollo, a London venue that hosts concerts and shows. The material points to an audience interested in Chinese culture and traditional dance, and offers no further detail on the format of the evening.
